Alipurduar, Paro and Thimpu Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Start from Sealdah Station At Night By Any Express Alipurduar Station.
Day 2
Reaching New Alipurduar Station within Noon. Start from New Alipurduar Station at Noon by Toyota Coaster Bus for Jaigon. (The Border of India & Bhutan, Indian Side is Jaigon and the Bhutan side is called Phuentsholing). Reaching Jaigon and transfer to hotel. After lunch coverage Phuentsholing town by walking. Night stay at Jaigon.
Day 3
After breakfast process for immigration permit then drive to Thimpu. Reaching Thimpu at 17:00hrs and transfer to Hotel. Night stay at Thimpu.
Day 4
After breakfast coverage Thimpu local sightseeing (National Library, Institute for Zorig Chusum, Textile and Folk Heritage Museum, National Memorial Chorten, Trashichhoe Dzong, Handicrafts Emporium, Lord Buddha Statue) by Toyota Coaster from 10;00hrs to 17:00hrs. Night stay in Thimpu.
Day 5
After breakfast drive up to DOCHU-LA PASS (3,088m/10,130 ft) stopping briefly here to take in the view and admire the chorten, mani wall, and prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road. If skies are clear, the following peaks can be seen from this pass ( left to right ): Masagang (7,158m), Tsendagang (6,960m), Terigang (7,060m), Jejegangphugang (7,158m), Kangphugang (7,170 m), Zongphugang ( 7,060 m), a table mountain that dominates the isolated region of Lunana – finally Gangkarpuensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7,497m.After visit to PunakhaDzong, Built strategically at the junction of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to serve as the religious and administrative centre of the region, Punakha Dzong has played an important role in Bhutan’s history . Damaged by four catastrophic fires and an earthquake, the Dzong has been fully restored by the present king. Night stay Paro.
Day 6
After breakfast drive to Paro and visit Taktsang Monastery. This most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries is spectacularly perched on the side of a cliff 900 m above the Paro valley floor. Taktsang is a place of pilgrimage which Bhutanese try to visit at least once in a lifetime. It is said that in the 8th century Guru Rinpoche flew on the back of the tigress from eastern Bhutan to this place and meditated in a cave here for 3 months, hence its name,” Tigers’s Nest “. The site, which has long been recognized as a most sacred place, was visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646. The principal Lhakhang of the present monastic complex dates from 1692. The main structure was severly damaged by fire in 1998, but after many years of painstaking renovation work, the complex has now been fully restored to its former glory. After visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the country, built in the 7th century by the Tibetan king, Songtsen Gampo . Ta Dzong originally built as Watchtower, which now houses National Museum. The extensive collection includes antique thangkha paintings, textiles, weapons & armour, household objects and a rich assortment of natural and historic artifacts. Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, meaning (“fortress of the heap of jewels “), which has a long and fascinating history. Along the wooden galleries the inner courtyard are fine wall paintings illustrating Buddhist lore such as four friends, the old man of long life, the wheel of life, scenes from the life of milarepa, Mount. Sumeru and other cosmic Mandala . Evening free and individual activities. Night stay at Paro.
Day 7
After breakfast coverage Chelela Pass & Haa Valley Local sightseeing from 09:00hrs to 17:00hrs. Night stay at Paro.
Day 8
After breakfast start from Hotel at 09:00hrs by Toyota Coaster Bus for New Alipurduar Station. Reaching New Alipurduar Station at 15:001hrs. Start from Alipurduar Station at 17:40hrs by 12378 PADATIK EXPRESS for Sealdah Station.
Day 9
Reaching Sealdah Station at 06:45hrs.

  • • Railway birth depends completely on Railway Authorities.
  • • Food during Train Journey was not provided by us.
  • • For reservation 40% per head shall have to be deposited and final payment will have to be made before 15 days from the date of journey.
  • • If anybody cancels the tour after reservation of the seats, the amount shall be refundable to the passenger after deduction of the amount from his total bill in the manner stated below.
  • • If there is any increase in railway, bus fare, car fare and passenger tax the difference amount has to be borne by the party.
  • • Booking of seats means that the passengers have accepted the terms and conditions of TARAKNATH TRAVELS knowing it clearly.
  • • Passengers should be responsible for their own luggage.
  • • Management will not undertake any liability towards any loss/damage of life/property, any breakage or any other belongings whatever of the Tourist-caused by any accident/theft/robbery or any other untoward happenings during the tour.
  • • When the tour is cancelled by the management the entire amount deposited by the party shall be refunded within 60 days from the scheduled date of the journey.
  • • In case of Natural Calamities Tour has been cancelled, 20% cancellation charge of the total tour cost.
  • • In the case of Natural Calamities if rail or air will be cancelled by the authority, 20% will be deducted from the tour value per head basis and the rest of the amount will be adjusted as per the choice of the party with any other tour company within one year.
  • • Entire amount of advance payment will be forfeited in the case of the journey cancelled by the party as per the rules of the company.
  • • In the case of a single person full room fare of various sectors of the said tour have to pay additionally along with the packaged tour amount.
  • • Tour programme may be changed due to natural calamity, disruption of communication, political disturbance and also rail transport problem.
  • • Manager reserves the right to change or alternate the final programme during the tour.
  • • The passengers are expected to co-operate, show restraint, and patience and behave properly during the tour.
  • • Any dispute will be solved in Serampore Jurisdiction.
